The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) RWO-NcR announced that they are already accepting application for the OFW Defendent Scholarship Program (OFWDSP) for the School Year 2013-2014.

The educational (–foul word(s) removed–)istance intended for qualified dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW’s) who wanted to pursue any four-year or five-year baccalaureate degree or (–foul word(s) removed–)ociate degree in any state college or university.

According to OWWA, a total of 204 annual scholarship slots are distributed in seventeen (17) cities of the National Capital Region. The legal dependent of an OWWA active member-OFW whose monthly salary is US$400.00 or below can avail the program. The dependent refers to only one (1) child of married or single OFW; or only one (1) sibling (brother or sister).

The qualified legal dependent must be single and not more than 21 years old at the time of application.
