A former executive of Ayala Corporationa and former head of the Presidential Management Staff under former Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, Maria Victoria P. Garchitorena caught the attention of netizens particularly the supporters of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte for her statement on Facebook.

Garchitorena caught the attentions of netizens after she posted a statement linking Mayor Duterte to the Reds or the insurgents of the country. According to Garchitorena’s post the rally in Kidapawan was staged by the Reds to make Mayor Duterte like a hero. The incident in Kidapawan city made headlines earlier after a harsh dispersals was made by the government forces after the farmers demanded for food.
Based upon the statement on Facebook by Garchitorena, she claims that Mayor Duterte and his ally former Cotabato governor Manny Pinols planned the incident for their respective political gains.
The former executive of Ayala Corp., also cited an article from Philippine Daily Inquirer about the plots made by Mayor Duterte’s supporters but upon close examinations, the article she mentioned was nowhere to be found.

Read the Inquirer account today. The Kidapawan “rally” was clearly staged by the Reds to make Duterte look like a hero. He was set to arrive there Monday to distribute rice. His Cotabato Gubernatorial candidate Manny Pinol is the one running his internet troll army. The posted video interview of one “protester” has the guy saying they were brought in jeepneys by Red organizers and promised that they will receive rice. Turn on CC of the video to get Tagalog subtitles. Got reports from the ground that 2 policemen had gunshot wounds from the “protesters”. The civilians who died actually suffered trauma from rocks and bear no bullet wounds, as erroneously reported. It appears that the whole thing was staged by Duterte’s Red allies solely for political gain. This is how much they value human life, it seems. Nothing more than cannon fodder.
